You can coordinate delivery of your deposit with our sales team. We accept a certified cheque made out to Mackie Homes or a wire transfer if you prefer.

How long does it take to build?

Closing times vary, inventory homes may be available for quick occupancy, and a build from scratch is typically 8-12 months from signing your Purchase Agreement. This of course depends on our construction calendar which changes daily. Please confirm with your sales representative regarding your desired closing date.

Will my house be identical to the model brochure and floor plan?

We have many models and build in different communities with different specs and covenants so please refer to the standard specs provided by your Mackie Homes Sales Representative for your particular community for what to expect. Our brochures offer an artistic representation only and material used for the exterior of your home will vary. Mackie Homes only uses trusted materials to protect your home, provide longevity and to ensure our build’s continue to exceed the industry standards which our clients have come to appreciate and expect.

Can a rear covered porch be included?

It is an available upgrade on most single home models but comes included with the Benton Models, Trenton Model and Kentwood Model. It certainly depends on the point of construction progress whether the possibility of covered porch is doable – please inquire with your sales representative and we would be happy to confirm.

Is a back deck an option with my home?

Most of our Mackie Homes include a rear wood structure deck along with precast/concrete front steps *please inquire with your Mackie Homes Representative and refer to your community specs to confirm what is included with your home*

There are trees on my single home lot can I mark which trees I would like to save during the construction phase?

While we try our very best to retain and preserve as many trees as possible within our country estate communities the engineered site plan leaves some of the trees low-lying within the building mantle and we are unable to confirm it any trees will survive the building and construction process.

Can I visit my home before closing to view progress or take measurements?

The first opportunity to view your home in person will be at your Pre-Delivery inspection (PDI). Access to the building site prior to this is not permitted.

Who will be our main contact during construction?

For builds not yet started; your Sales Representative will introduce you to your Selections Coordinator who will walk you through your timeline for choosing design selections. Once your selections have been signed off it is not time for the grounds crew to bring your build to life. Mackie Homes has invested in an interactive program unique to each of our builds that our clients will have direct access to with a unique login. You will always be connected to your design selections right through to post-occupancy warranty phase and able to communicate with our team through this valuable tool.

Do you have a standard list of building materials used in your single homes?

Our Sales Team would be happy to share our standard community specs which identify and outline the unique offerings for your desired community. Some of the value-added offerings when building with Mackie Homes are; chain-operated garage door openers, oversized windows, stone countertops in the kitchen, tankless hot water heater, rear deck (for applicable communities), pot lights in your kitchen and main living area (verify with your Selections Coordinator for quantity) and many more. *Note that our various communities and the covenants of the neighbourhood vary.
